Zamalek grabbed a point out of Cairo’s Derby against Ahly in one heck of a match that witnessed a bunch of wasted chances on goal that lacked the final touch. Zamalek young players’ spirit was there to prove their worth and they were simply born to be stars after displaying an A-class performance. Hazem Emam “Junior” was selected as the man of the match after his outstanding performance in the match. Week 26: Moving Up!

Zamalek grabbed 3 precious points out of strong side, Petrojet and won 2-1 in a match witnessed Sherif Ashraf netting twice! The fans had to wait till the beginning of the second half to watch Zamalek scoring two goals in two minutes! Zamalek lost a substitution as Abdel Wahed El-Sayed asked for the change after catching an injury. Petrojet then scored their only goal and the match went on fire as Zamalek had true chances on goal that never went in. Week 25: A Point Saved!

Zamalek came from behind to score the equaliser and save a point just before the end of the first half. Mahmoud Fathalla’s header equalised the score from a coss taken by Alaa Ali from a corner kick. The second half didn’t witness any true chances for Zamalek on goal. Zamalek now has 34 points from 25 matches and moves down to the 7th spot in the Egyptian League Standings. - The EFA has postponed Cairo’s Derby match between Zamalek and Ahly to be played on the 23rd of April.
- Zamalek signed two new players:
Ayman Kamal (Masr Makassa) (Starting from next season)
Wael Ismael (Rabat & Anwar) (Starting from next season)
It’s worth noting that Masr Makassa is the team Zamalek signed Sabry Rahil from and Rabat & Anwar is the team Zamalek signed Ahmed Tharwat from. Both players are set to see action starting from next season!
- Furthermore, A new player from the youth team, Hossam Gamal, has been promoted to the first team.
- Zamalek played a friendly match against second division team Masr Makassa and lost 1-0. Zamalek played another friendly against Ahly Bank the match ended 1-0 for Zamalek this time. Alaa Kamal scored the only goal from a free kick. Both matches come as a preparation for Zamalek’s next match against Arab Contractors in El-Dawry.
- Ahmed El-Marghany will miss next match against Arab Contractors due to three Yellow Cards dismisal.
- Hany Said was the only Zamalek player who saw action in Egypt’s World Cup qualifying match against Zambia that ended 1-1. It’s worth mentioning that Egypt’s coach, Hassan Shehata has selected earlier three players from Zamalek: Abdel Wahed El-Sayed, Hany Said and Mahmoud Fathalla.

Week 24: A Happy End!

Zamalek came from behind and managed to score a double in the final minutes of the match to snatch the second win in a row! Although Zamalek conceded a goal in the opening minutes of the match, the players’ spirit was there to change the result towards them. Sabry Rahil blast a volley to score his first goal in Zamalek and a minute later Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala” completed the turnover to send all Zamalek fans back to to their homes with a smile on their faces. Week 16: Make History Before You Become History!

Zamalek makes a record in losing matches and marks the seventh loss this season. The match is the first under Decastel’s supervision and witnessed the debut for two palyers: Olie Koffi and Mohamed El-Morsy. The only goal scored in the match was by a fatal mistake by Abdel Wahed El-Sayed as he chipped pass the ball to his marked teammate, Hany Said inside the box!
On the other side, the fans showed their anger against the whole team as they booed at them as the team seemed to be sinking and never rise again. Zamalek still has 21 points from 16 matches and moved down to the seventh position in the Egyptian League Standings. Read the rest of this entry »

- Zamalek signs a one and a half year deal with the Swiss manager, Michel Decastel to be incharge of Zamalek’s First team for the next period. This comes after sacking both Ahmed Refaat and Ahmed Ramzy who took the charge of 5 matches. Its worth noting that Sami El-Shishini will assist the Swiss coach. The first words the came by the newly signed Swiss manager:
“I will do my best to make Zamalek advance to the second place in the league this season in order to book a berth in the African Champions League,” Decastel told FilGoal.com HELLO NEW COACH!
