Inter club 2 - Zamalek 1: saw nothing, heard nothing
By: Tamim |we lost 2-1 but won 4-2 on aggregate and we are through. well, i have no idea what happened there because the match was neither broadcasted on tv nor radio so all i know is the result. so we are in the quarter finals along with the best 7 clubs in Africa. before the match i was a bit worried despite the home game’s result, you see a lot of big guns have crashed out of the championship with big surprises Read the rest of this entry »

Zamalek 5 - Aluminium 1: nice and easy
By: Tamim |
5-1…i have to admit i haven’t seen zamalek achieve such a score line since very very long time and what makes it feel good is that it was achieved was one of the best performances during this season, and what even make it more astonishing is that it was done by the substitutes; however, i have to say that the opponent’s defense helped a lot Read the rest of this entry »
Zamalek 1 - Arab contractors 1: why??
By: Tamim |
a draw in the wrong time wasn’t the result we desired but we didn’t deserve more than that. the only good thing in the game was again shikabala and who else!!. the game wasn’t easy, arab contractors are team involved in the relegation battle so what did we expect from them?? Zamalek 3 - “faked” Inter 0 : A leg and a half in the quaterfinals
By: Tamim |
3-0, very good result, we couldn’t have wished for more since we knew nothing about this club coming from Angola thinking they are the real inter “milan” wearing nerazzuri but way different than the Italian champions (no, i am not a fan of inter), i really don’t know why some African clubs has no identity (Ajax cape town, inter club…..). any way, we are now 80% in the group stages unless and i must say unless!!
zamalek continued to maintain their great form recently especially the multi-talented “shikabala”. the team put a great show at the first half ;however, they still relied a lot on English style long balls which lead to nothing. when the team moved the ball on the ground we were very dangerous. also the players continued their habit of losing concentration in the second half and giving the opponent the chance to be dangerous at a time we can crush them if we concentrate.
(Zamalek-Inter club) preview: restoring old pride
By: Tamim |
Tomorrow zamalek will be playing the first leg of the caf champions league in Cairo against inter club from Angola. the match is important for several reasons, some players will be missing and others will return from injury. away from the match, i would like to say congratulations to amr zaki for his new baby “mazen”
let’s start with the opponent, all i know about inter club is that they won the league last year, they are number 1 in the table this year and they are playing in the champions league for the first time. today they were interviewing one of the board members of inter club on Egyptian tv and he said that the club is the police team. they say that it is a a good team which plays fast football but i don’t believe this (hopefully)!!

Zamalek 1 - Haras el hdoud 0: Too late!!
By: Tamim |
yesterday, zamalek beat haras el hdoud 1-0 to raise its points to the number 46 and confirm its second place. gamal hamza scored the only goal but what a goal!!, it was one of those goals that you don’t see a lot.
Haras el hdoud’s game was never an easy game to play, they are a team which has a lot of good players in harmony with each other and enjoy good physical strength, in fact i think that they present some of the best football in egypt and so it was one of the toughest matches of the season.
Although ahly won the title earlier yesterday, the game was important for zamalek in the battle for second place or a champions league spot next season. competing with him are el gaish and ismaily who are playing today as i write these words.
White but not nerdy!!
