Zamalek - Ahly: Cairo derby, round 2

again we are playing cairo derby; this time the match will be better and more exciting and ,above all, extremely challenging for the team, club and fans. a lot of things happened this week will be discussed later in this post.

We win this match, we a add a title to our history and restore confidence and stop the continuous victories of el ahly. It is very unacceptable to lose two derbies in one week.

After the last match, it was planned that the club elections for a new board will take place on Friday. But former club president mortada mansour won his case to stop the elections.

For those who don’t know mortada; mortada was the president of the club in 2005 and stayed for one year but he was dismissed from his chair after he was involved in a lot of problems and a lot of verbal insults to everyone.

Later he came back on 2006, this time we were playing the cup final against el ahly and the score wasn’t good for us. Mortada just went to the president representative and ahly board members who were siting in the main tribune in the stadium and attacked them physically. A case was filed against him and he was put in jail. Last month he was set free, but zamalek has cancelled his membership.

Again he went to court and restore his membership and tried to enter the club even before the court ruling is activated. A fight took place at the gates of the club. Then he wanted to stop the ongoing elections so that he can participate, he succeeded again and the elections were halted.

This time the fans of the club decided to take action. Yesterday, they organized a protest in front of the club and the sports council (only on the next side of the street). They wanted to make it clear that they hate mortada and demanded officials in egypt to save the club from this man.

Personally, I hate him. Simply because he is a man who moved the club’s news from the sports page to the crimes page, a man who loves himself more than anything and loves the media show, a man who only seeks fame even if it is on the expense of the club, a man who is a trouble-lover.

Back to the match, the day next to last match the reserves played a match against malyet kafr el zayat and tied 3-3 then the team moved to a closed training camp in 6th of October city.

For this match we will be missing: gamal hamza for suspension, abu el ela for suspension, abd el halim ali for injury and shikabala for suspension from FIFA.

However there will be more choices in front of reiner holmann. Players who weren’t registered in the African roster like alaa kamal, mahmoud sami, amr adel and brazilian winger richardinho will be ready to participate.

Reports said that abd el monsef will replace abd el wahed in goalkeeping, hani said is ready and will be our sweeper in the match giving the chance to ahmed magdy to play in midfield beside ayman abd el aziz and our yourh product Mohamed ibrahim. Infront of them, junior agogo and mostafa gaafar will be trying to score.

Starting the match with attacking will be a mistake to regret because we will leave space to ahly to score. We must control the midfield first and play more from the wings especially that we have a new talented winger coming straight from brazil.

Our fans must fill the stadium because our club needs us now more than ever. We have always been the reason behind the club’s successes. Even if we didnn’t win the game, our presence is very important.
