Zamalek fails to secure a win and had a positive 2-2 draw with Ahly in the CAF Champions League. Zamalek needed the whole 3 points badly but a late goal by Aboutrika meant that Zamalek can only get 1 point out of Cairo’s Derby match. Zamalek now has 5 points from 5 matches and has no choices but winning Dynamos of Zimbabwe and hope that Ahly makes a positive result with ASEC Mimosas.
Zamalek vs. Ahly: 2-2 (Gamal Hamza 41′, Junior Agogo 50’ - Flavio Amado 8′, Mohamed Aboutrika 69′)

MTNfootball.com covered the press conference and came up with:
Zamalek coach Reiner Hollmann admitted the draw with rivals Ahly 2-2 wouldn’t do his side any favour although he was pleased with their display.
“Given the fact that we played the game without several regulars, we performed well,” he said.
“But we still need to beat Dynamos away from home in Harare,” the German tactician added.
“We are in a complicated situation and the worst thing about it that we cannot decide our faith ourselves”
Finally, we all wish the best for our beloved team in the upcoming matches. Further more, I want to apologise for the delayed blogging
