Week Three: Back On Track!

Junior Agogo
Zamalek is getting back on track after winning strong side Masry in El-Dawry. Zamalek needed this win badly as it comes after two draws in El-Dawry and the CAF Champions League successively. Wisam El-Abdy opened the score sheet just after one minute from kick-off while Agogo secured the win in the 51st minute. Zamalek now has 7 points from 3 matches and crawls up the ranking table hoping to retain the missing title.

-29’ Agogo makes a run from the left, ball reaches Ibrahim inside the box, keeper stretches a hand and tackles Ibrahim. No penalty given.

-46′ Agogo makes a run from the left, goes for a shot; ball goes wide

-49′ A corner taken from the right by Abdallah, Wisam jumps high and wins a header, ball reaches Halim who fails to shoot on target; keeper finds the ball in his hands!

-51’ Agogo scores the second!! Wisam tries to go for a shot, ball reaches Agogo who places it easily to the left of the keeper. What a cool finish ;)

-60’ Abdel Raouf In Ahmed Ghanem Out

-66’ Mohamed Abdallah go past the defenders, goes for a shot; keeper saves it

-73’ Abdallah again fires one, ball goes over the post!

-77’ Gamal Hamza In Junior Agogo Out

-85’ Wisam El-Abdy fires one from a foul, keeper stops it well

-89’ Ahmed Magdy – Yellow Card

Wisam El-Abdy (7/10) Scored a goal but made a fatal mistake in return.
Mahmoud Fathalla (6/10) Played a good match but slides alot inside the box!
Mohamed Ibrahim (5/10) Looked OK and made some good runs.
Ahmed Magdy (5/10) Appeared a little throughout the match.
Ahmed Ghanem (5/10) Looked nervous for no reason. Keep calm Ghanem =)
Ayman Abdelaziz (5/10) Gave the ball away too easily in some occasions.
Mahmoud Samir (4/10) Didn’t look in shape and kept the ball under his feet.

Junior Agogo (8/10) Scored his first goal with Zamalek and looked sharp on goal throughout the match. Thumbs-up Agogo!

Mohamed Abdallah (7/10) Played in the second half but was very effective and looked sharp on goal. Keep it on Abdallah =)
Gamal Hamza (Not tested)

Finally, Zamalek captured 3 points and played a good match, especially the second half. Reiner Hollmann on the other side made an excellent substitution when he decided to throw Mohamed Abdallah as a winning card. We all wish the best for our beloved team in the upcoming matches.

    Unfortunately, after today’s loss to SEC 3-0, none of this means much. Zamalek is still struggling. Much like Esperance, the team has got a lot of work to do to get back to how they used to be. Good luck!
