Zamalek 1 – Arab contractors 1: why??

a draw in the wrong time wasn’t the result we desired but we didn’t deserve more than that. the only good thing in the game was again shikabala and who else!!. the game wasn’t easy, arab contractors are team involved in the relegation battle so what did we expect from them??

line up: abdel wahed el sayed, amr el safty, ahmed magdy, mahmoud fathallah, abo el ela, mohamed ibrahim, ahmed gahnem, mohamed abdallah,shikabala,gamal hamza, sherif ashraf

there isn’t much to talk about in the game, it was a meaningless one for zamalek exept for 2nd place which is guaranteed to a large extent. on the other side, the 3 points were vital for arab contractors to survive and you could sense it in their faces.

the goal came from a long ball played by mahmoud fathallah that reached shikabala who touched it twice and then put it in the net. while arab contractors goal came from a penalty kick and to be fair they had a completely legal canceled because of offside.

i just had some comments on the game and the team:

1- we need to bring ahmed ghanem back to his original position as a right wing instead of being a left wing, come on the guy play with his right foot only. also, mohamed abdallah isn’t that good and we seem to play with a -1 player.

2- shikabala is still our number 1 and key player, good but we must look for other options.

3- our defense is very shaky when it comes to free kicks and crosses, we need to work on that

4- abo el ela needs to be more faster during counter attacks. his defense is pretty good but he is very slow in attack. (very bad gesture he made when he was substituted, he should be punished!!)

5- shikabala and gamal hamza form a very dangerous couple probably the best in egypt right now

6- this second half thing is killing us, we must solve it before it is too late
