- Zamalek’s chairman, Mamdouh Abbas resigned from his post. Abbas opted to hand in his resignation after learning that The Egyptian National Sports Council (NSC) intends to sack him and appoint a temporary committee. Source: FilGoal.com
- On the other hand, there has been some changes in the technical staff: Ahmed Refaat, Ahmed Ramzy In, Tarek Yehia Out.
- Zamalek played a friendly match against Badrashin. The match ended 8-0 for Zamalek! Gamal Hamza and Abdel Halim Ali netted twice. The other four goals scored by: Ahmed Magdy, Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala”, Sherif Ashraf and Alaa Kamal. The match comes as a preparation for Arab Contractors in El-Dawry.
- Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala” is set to return in Zamalek’s next match against Arab Contractors after a long ban by FIFA after a conflict with PAOK FC. Alaa Kamal on the other side is back to the squad as he was away for a long time due to injury.
- Mohamed Abdallah and Mostafa Gaafar will miss Arab Contractors match due to 3 Yellow Cards dismissal.
